Honestly, I'd just buy it on eBay. You're very likely to find a trade supplier who has a discount with Wickes or Travis Perkins, and you'll be able to get it cheaper than the walk-up punter's price.

A lot of the sellers are builders suppliers or "independent builders merchants" - they may get 30% off at W/TP, for example, but they'll only markup say half of that to you so they're making money, you're saving money, and it often gets drop-shipped directly to you anyway.

The other thing is that you can quite frequently find people selling off excess from jobs they've done themselves and over-ordered... maybe they finished the loft with quite a few square metres less than they expected, so they dump a few rolls cheap.

On top of all that if you hit eBay through a cashback site like topcashback or quidco then you can get a small cash rebate on your purchase as well...

ermm i just need enough to cover my wall build photo frames to hang it up and bass traps so i dont really know ?

I have at least a couple of 4 inch slabs you can have. If you drop by on wednesday afternoon you can have them.
