Default Does Your Live do this?

Okkkkkkkk. This is striking me as quite odd, and frustrating as well...

It seems that Live doesn't keep a lock on warped points when bouncing. Tracks that I have painstakingly warped to get them as tight as possible suddenly appear all loose again when viewed at the same tempo in another daw.

I have emailed Ableton regarding this apparent issue, a whole week ago actually. No response. So I throw it out in the open..

I've also attatched the file and screen shots I sent them to explain my point. The original file appears locked in Live, the exported file is off in Logic and also when reimported to Live...

I'm recording a lot of stuff from vinyl, which is tricky. But I've found that another drawback of Live is that it doesn't work properly with Izotope RX restoration plugs. Which I need to remove noise and crackles. So the plan was to warp them all into shape and then mixdown in another daw. But if Live can't keep its sync...that buggers my plan !

For whatever reason, the boars is failing to upload the zip or 2 of the pictures I've taken out of it. But you should see from the one from Logic that is attatched what I mean..

warp markers are not destructive, they are points refrenced from the .asd file
perhaps your interface may be playing up, i will test for you now on a simple kick loop

also what am i looking at in the attachment?

The attached file is the bounce from Live. The transient closest to 34 should actually be smack bang on 34. I warp the peak of a waveform, rather then trying to find the start or end of the cycle.

LEt me know how your kick goes. even after I've quantised tracks on ever 1/4 note (ie every kick) they still show a drift on export !

its all good although the transient detection is a little off the actual transients fall in place on re import to live
