I don't imagine anyone could use Live as their primary DAW, it seems more like a cool accompaniment to other tools, a composition tool, a performance tool, but not a full production tool, if that makes sense.

I've had 8 around here for a few months now and still haven't gotten into it. I think part of me is waiting for the Max/MSP implementation as I want to screw around with that. I also want Collision but am unwilling to pay for it at the moment - it's a far better value for me to upgrade to the full Live Suite.

Let me know how you get on with it, and convince me not to sell my copy.

i want to get the live 8 suite upgrade version, i cant believe you T3 has live 8 the electronic producers dream DAW

your new theme tune

i have been convinced this can be used as a primary DAW, i can see the potential, i can imagine mixing a little tricky but if worse comes to the worse i will compose in live and bounce into logic or tools, more likely logic though

Well, if I'm honest I got it cheap (like many DAWs I have) and I thought it would be worth the experiment. As I get some hilarious writers' block episodes when trying to compose, I thought that having a different way of working would be helpful. I have yet to confirm/deny that this actually is doing me any good.

I still don't think it can be a primary DAW. Not for me, of course, and I'm speaking solely of music creation (obviously this is not a post tool, for example). If you need an A1 prime example of why it's "not quite there" try to create a mono track, and get back to me.

That said, the reason I didn't mention it is that I did not want to have a bunch of people asking me questions that I just can't answer (and that's still the case!) - it's all installed, I even have Operator and Analog, but my experience is highly limited, so your queries are best directed elsewhere.
