Just sifting through the 'what's new' bit at the moment. So far I am pleased by the small but decent changes to the midi editor. I.e. there is an 'insert marker', step recorder and awww it even labels each wee red block with its note! bless...

Back in my digital youth, I could not get Ableton to work, never mind have a go with it. User error the likely culprit.

I think I got Ableton 7 Lite with some hardware. I think I should give it a go.

Enjoy your DAW and let us know how it is.

I bought ableton 3/4/5 and what really annoyed me about ableton was it was forever crashing when scanning my VST plugins folder , the same folder cubase would scan and not crash , ontop of that i was sick of ableton releasing new versions before they'd fixed issues in the previous versions so after version 5 i decided not to upgrade or support ableton anymore.

as for APC40 it looks fantastic but has one massive flaw its not bus powered
