I finally managed to get on the Live 8 beta testing - woohoo

Jst got as far as installing it - will post some updates on the new stuff when I get a good play with it

they got rid of magnify in the warp audio section

it's horribly glitchy or they a have a complete new way of working from 7

Its still there, its just in the top bit only now I think - not tried it yet.

Is this an open public beta program? I only ask as normally you aren't supposed to publicly discuss beta features of closed "invitation only" beta programs.

Being that the discussion forum for it is completely public, I can't see it being an issue.

I looked at the EULA and it's the standard Live EULA, there's nothing even in there about the beta program. I suspect Ableton aren't too concerned.

It's not completely open, but Ableton has set the number of users they want doing it, but anyone can "apply" until their 'beta slots' are filled...

Edit: I had a look, to get a beta license you need to have version 7 already. I'm not sure if you need to "apply" for each "round" (it's currently on 11 I think, and this one only lasts until the 20th when the software expires).

Aaah OK... well if the official beta discussion is publicly viewable, then it's a moot point. Just thought I'd say something just in case

I dont blame you, if he's not controlled T3 can be a deviant at times, he wont admit though

No. Once you're gained a beta slot you automatically allocated for the next round.
