Actually this looks really good - so many long overdue features are being added and Max for Live looks really interesting as well

Oh this will probably be an expensive upgrade for me - Live 7 suite -> Live 8 suite, akai controller and max for Live - I wonder if they will do a bundle for it, or perhaps our site sponsors might - hint hint!!!

The max for live stuff looks very cool actually - completely modular fx and instruments etc and may even be able to re-write my lighting controller to interface directly with max which would be extremely cool!

Yeah, heaven forbid you're able to make any music with the out-of-date junk you've got now.

They're onto the Elastique pro algo for time-stretching as well now That should yeild near Radius quality results...without waiting for Logic to process bloody samples. That could well just about sell live 8 to me..

+1 T3...how have we survived up to now?
I think I'd be happy to make some decent music with what I've got and not have to spend more time learning some new product (although I will have to do that on the future mac, I suppose).

I think the best thing for me is the tweaks to the midi editing which i hate in live. apart from that im fine with 7. i like the fact they seam to take in what the users ask for though.
