Default Ableton Live 7 recording help?

Ive just tried to record a finished track in Ableton, and when I play it back everything sounds out of time. My track is mainly made up of midi clips although there are a few audio samples. This has never happened before...any advice please

Are the midi clips driving internal or external instruments?

Do you mean that you recorded the midi parts and then when they were played back, then were out of time, or do you mean that you had allready recorded and arranged everything, then when you bounced the whole mix to audio it was a mess?

Are you using any plugins?
Are you using plugins on sends?
Are you routing return tracks back to audio tracks?

The midi clips are driving soft synth plugins such as predator/massive etc, and also samples in a drum rack. Like you say, its when I bounce it to audio it plays back all out of time. I dont have any sends or returns?

Im playing the whole thing back...nthats when it all sounds out of time!!

Ive just sussed it....I had my drums & base going through a compressor in a different channel & for some reason it caused a delay from the other clips. Dont know if its my dinosaur of a computer hasnt got enough cpu!

funny you should mention this live did the exact same thing on me last night, clips going out of time on playback, first time i have heard it do anything of the sort.

I put it down to a resource issue tho as a restart cured it

Try disabling all unnescessary sends - might fix both your problems.
