At the moment - Ableton Live. In the past I've used it for getting stuff down quick, ie; oooh I wonder what would happen if i put this with this and sidechain this... etc. Lately Ive been experimenting with big long audio racks and effects chains using abletons own line of effects. I have to say I'm having more fun messing around these days developing my electronica chops.

Other than that I have a couple of old akai tape machines that my drum and percussion loops go to... think of the drums on the first track of the new portishead album. its distorts incredibly and rolls off anything above 10k, but has a wonderful presence and depth.

I love my RE 501 tape delay and spring reverb.

And since my UA 610 is broken in I can't imagine life without it on bass.
