Default The Old Vista Argument...

Hi Folks,

I recently built a computer from scratch based on an Intel Quad Core with 4gb of RAM using Vista 64 Bit.

My main issue was the ability to use more RAM, and also because I fancied upgrading in general to keep up with the Jones' as it were.

I use Cubase 4, and upgrading to their 64 Bit preview was an absolute breeze, and it absolutely flies.

I've installed NI Komplete 5, and use Kontakt with Natural Studio Kit and the excellent Goldbaby samples (pretty much all of 'em).

I installed my Mackie Onyx 400f, Emu Xboard, Emu 1212m, and have had absolutely no issues.

But then I realised I overlooked a major part of my little home set up - my Virus Ti. The damned thing has no drivers currently compatible with 64 Bit. I ensured everything was compatible but overlooked the obvious!

Upon checking the rest of the hardware and software, I simply presumed it'd be fine, but alas no. Gutted, and no drivers on the horizon from Access, according to their tech support.

I'm positive they'll have to soon enough, as they can't miss out an entire generation of OS, but it looks like it's darned MIDI in the meantime.

Has anyone else had issues or considered the upgrade at all?
