Well, I use the Super Hard-On as part of my effects chain. It's more of a 'utility' pedal than an effect, although cranked it does deliver a different-sounding distortion than the norm.
I find that note clarity is increased with the pedal just being 'on' (and the dial at '0'). Very good for my tone.
Mine's a custom-painted version though, so no hilarious pedal name visible to others, thus no instant joke when people see it.
