BIAS Deck.

Needed a quick and fairly inexpensive surround DAW solution at the time, and I was a fan of Peak, so thought it would be a good choice. It was doing sound for picture so the lack of 24 bit support at the time was fine.

Little did I know that it was pretty much OS9 code that had been hastily updated to OSX - and never worked right. Buggy, crashy, you name it.

BIAS is still selling it, even though it doesn't really function correctly on any modern incarnation of OSX - it certainly won't run on Leopard.

It's too bad because their other products are excellent, they just seem to have left this one behind for reasons we'll never know. Would have been nice for them to continue with it, I think the DAW field always needs competition, if only to drive innovation.
