This is a question for Trev really but i thought if i name it as just materials any body can ask about acoustic materials.
Right on to the point.
Im building boards for room treatment that im gonna hang in several places, ive got the wood and ive got a shed load of foam (not the proper kind really but it was free and im on a budget until i move into the garage) all i need to know is what insulation to use.
ive got 100cm x100cm, 18mm MDF board and im going to bore holes in them using a 4" cutter , on the board im then planning on sticking 50mm insulation and then the foam on top of that which should work well enough for what i want.
but what insulation do i use?
i was looking at this:
Clicky
Is that about right or should i go for the less dense stuff like this :
