"Starting with version 3 (3.02 really) Steinberg added an SDK for external controllers to Cubase. Unfortunately the SE version didn't get this control added. This is a decision that Steinberg made, presumably to differentiate SE from their other versions, and nothing that we have any control over. "

"the main problem here is that Cubase SE specifically does not support external control. SX, SL, and LE all do. As you will see in all of our documentation, SX and SL 3 support Steinergs new native mode control protocol which our Cubase/Nuendo plug-ins are based on. LE supports Mackie Control emulation which we also added to the TranzPort driver. SE however supports none of these, which I suppose is Steinbergs way of getting you to upgrade???"
