Thank you Waxxy for the informatition re blagging an E4 disc.
Whilst I would have no scruples in going down that root were I totally potless, since I feel that I have payed good money out for software that is missing a pretty basic function and IT cannot be that costly to implement else why is it "given away", I wish to remain "whiter than white" in this matter mainly because I am pc T as S and can easily be misled.
In looking at the screenshots for installing in C sx I think I have found the glitch. In the Devices Setup panel in SX the Devices tree breaks off to Remote Devices and listed are..Generic Devices and Tranzport. In the same panel in Cubase se3. Generic is the only one listed. I can set tranzport as Default MIDI input and in fact I can set it so all over the shop but it makes no difference. Clearly SE3 does not have the wherewithall to interface with it.
I have re-installed the latest drivers, allowing XP to go off in search of them to no effect.
I am still mad as H and really think that this was cockup, a mistaken ommision on Steinbergs part, tho' they will never admit it. I suppose I shall have to stump up but in fact I think Steinberg owe me and all other SE3 buyers E4!!
After all, it is not just the Tranzport that won't work, it seems no kind of controller will interface with SE3.
Dave.
