If it's for listening have you considered going for something like a pair of B&W 602 and pairing them with a decent power amp (Bryston, Rotel, Hafler etc). A pile of mastering houses use a set up like this.

no not really considered passives, il give those B&W's a look, heard of them before. looks like its back to the drawing board. however i did see the reply in regards to the Bm5's possibly having different crossovers to the new Bm6's and Bm12's. i currently love the Bm5's, a lovely sounding Monitor.
