Sorry, I don't compose using software. I plug a guitar in or sit at the piano. For my needs monitors need to be as flat as possible. Both are pretty flat. The Dyn's have this crossover thing going on. The Adam's just haven't let me down on even the busiest mixes.
If it's for listening have you considered going for something like a pair of B&W 602 and pairing them with a decent power amp (Bryston, Rotel, Hafler etc). A pile of mastering houses use a set up like this.
